Born in Venezuela, Carolina developed an interdisciplinary creative approach within an unsettled then international environment. By weaving together ingenuity, expertise and artistic sensibility, she combines architecture, design and art to innovate on a social, ethical and ecological level.
Giving materials a second chance, not forgetting that simple and necessary things have the right to be beautiful and valued, these are the principles that guide her approach to applying upcycling to installations, furniture, urban or interior design and architecture.
She was awarded 1st prize in the Idea Competition for the rehabilitation of the largest slum in Latin America (Caracas), invited to the 7th Havana Art Biennale and the New Territories exhibition (MAD/New York and Museum Amparo/Mexico). She won the recent competition Les sites artistiques temporaires (temporary art sites) for her CASE project on travel and upcycling (Paris), curates various exhibitions and regularly publishes.
