Creative industrial enterprise Culture iN is the designer behind Le Varian, a linen-based, dually sourced material that is part composite, part textile.
Le Varian is designed to be an environmentally friendly, useful and decorative part of healthy, ever-changing living spaces.
Culture iN is launching its first range of ready-to-use products made thanks to Varian® technology. Eco-designed wall coverings made of thermoformed linen offer soundproofing or light-giving qualities to transform living and working spaces into comfortable places to be.
During Paris Déco off, visit Culture iN for MASTERS OF LINEN dream Lab from january 17th to 22nd at rue de l’échaudée 75006 Paris.
Designer duo Julien Vignal and Amélie Claudin realised they had a lot of values in common when they met at the test benches of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. A desire to ask new questions of day-to-day objects, and to interrogate the way we make them, was what pushed the pair to set up JUAM Studio.
JUAM Studio is united around a drive to invest new, minimalist, functional objects with real meaning.
Gommette’s design focused on the idea of bringing a touch of warmth to the decorative screen, without stripping it of any of its innate privacy. The Gommette screen was inspired by the way flags undulate in the wind and is composed of two drapes made of environmentally designed, linen-based VARIAN® fabric by Culture iN. Gommette screens layer two sheets of VARIAN® to create spaces that are intimate, but which also let shafts of light shine through here and there.
