Gives companies opportunity to develop new partnerships and reinvent themselves by integrating design at the heart of their strategy.
A series of 12-minute pre-arranged mini meetings are organised across half a day: the quality of meetings is guaranteed by le French Design by VIA’s matchmaking committee, who have considered the participants’ needs and expectations.
The editors and manufacturers have 14 face to face meetings with designers for short conversations. The aim is to establish an initial contact in order to develop new collaborations : products production, artistic direction, etc. Some break and networking times are organised to promote exchanges outside the meetings.
When a collaboration is formed and wishes to continue a shared project, they can apply to join the French Design Incubator and benefit personalised guidance. Each year, some ten projects are incubated and then highlighted at le French Design by VIA Gallery.

At the same time original and identifiable at first glance, the Cake shelf is a familiar object: from the greediness of the flutes of a cupcake to the elegance of the glass canopies of the Parisian steps, everyone finds their own reference as the motif of this shelf contributes to make it universal. Cake is an archetypal form, a shelf that exists as such, but that will truly stage the least object that it will support. And since this shelf is primarily a form, it had to give it a color more than a material, which works as a signal to put forward its plasticity. Cake is also revealing of the way Jean Couvreur envisions the design: to show the extra part in the ordinary.
Similar to a ring but in XXL version, the Ring mirror imagined by Elisabeth Hertzfeld, surprises us by its familiar side. With its instantly recognizable shape and brilliant appearance, the Ring mirror is an object that is adopted at first glance.

If you do not put this ring on your finger to carry it with you, the object is also nomadic and functional thanks to its ring that will move or grab the object and give it the right inclination once posed.
