The MICA gallery was created in 2001 by Michaël Cheneau. After studying crafts and the history of art, he continued his career path with a five-year stint in South Africa. Upon returning, he opened the gallery with the aim to offer the world high-quality artwork with a production line based on strong societal values.
The works created are the product of uniting different crafts in Brittany as well as creative trades in both France and abroad.
To this end, the MICA gallery has been setting up research and production collaborations, experiments with new objects and new experiences. Combining material, craftsmanship, ingenuity and skill and all done in a collective sense.
Matali Crasset, Pierre Charrié, Karim Ould, Florence Doléac, Julien Vermeulen and many more have had their work produced by the gallery.
