Inga Sempé, a French designer born in Paris, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris in 1993.
From 2000 to 2001, she was artist-in-residence at the Villa Medici (Académie de France) in Rome, and since 2000, she has been working as a freelance artist.
She began collaborations with Italian companies Cappellini and Edra, followed by others for French, Japanese, Italian and Scandinavian companies including HAY, Ligne Roset, Wästberg, Alessi, LucePlan, Mutina, Røros, Moustache, Svenskt Tenn and Gärsnäs.
We owe Moustache’s Vapeur collection of lamps and the Ruché sofa designed for Ligne Roset to Inga Sempé.
Inga Sempé lives and works in Paris.
