Jean-Michel Wilmotte is an architect, urban planner and designer who trained at École Camondo. He is a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts and founder of the architecture firm Wilmotte & Associés and the Wilmotte & Industries design studio.
Whatever the project – there are currently more than 100 in 27 countries – Jean-Michel Wilmotte and his 225 collaborators bring the same fervour to each and every one, from the smallest to the most imposing, from the spectacular to the intimate, from sketch to delivery. At once innovative and responsible, his projects are designed with particular attention to plant life, light, materials and finishes, always respectful of the surrounding environment and its history.
In 2010, W&A became one of the 100 largest architectural firms and has since received numerous awards, including Best European Museum in 2015 for its work on the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the International Architecture Award 2014 for its Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice.
