In 2012, Julie Conrad received a mark of distinction for her master’s degree in Art Design from CRÉAPÔLE Paris. During her training, she learned to work on limited series and formed an approach to objects and furniture which bridges the gap between craftsmanship and industrial design.
Having gained experience as a product designer for large groups and international studios (namely Acer, Ferrero, MIO and Designtree), she created her own studio in 2013. Julie Conrad Design Studio now designs distinctively simple products, furniture and accessories.
In 2015, she made her mark at the Luxembourg Design Awards, winning a special jury prize in the Junior Talents category. Unpaper, her Tyvek® and wood furniture collection, was presented at the Casino Forum d’Art Contemporain (Luxembourg) during the 2014 Nuit des Musées festival, at D’DAYS 2015 with the In Progress collective and finally at the VIA in 2016 with Meet My Project.
