Smarin is a French design studio created in 2003 by designer Stéphanie Marin.
In its Nice-based research and production workshops, smarin designs, develops and distributes design projects destined to the worlds of furniture, scenography and interior design, at home and abroad.
The choice of materials is at the heart of the studio’s research, with a focus on working with and offering natural, safe and resistant materials. The studio’s creations include the Livingstones pebble cushions, Sébastian Bergne’s collection of stools and tables, Marco Ferreri’s AccA and the Dune sofa.
The collections are on display in numerous museums: Sweden’s Malmö Museer, the Cité Radieuse Le Corbusier in Marseille, the Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and the Villa Arson in Nice.
