Le French Design by VIA Gallery
For the second consecutive year the New Living Wood award, organised by VIA, CODIFAB and professional organisations in the woodworking sector (UMB-FFB, CAPEB and UIPC), has brought together three schools (La Martinière Diderot in Lyon, LISAA in Paris and Strates in Sèvres) and 14 projects on the theme of 'the ideal design for the work spaces of tomorrow' in an effort to provide solutions that will contribute to the development and renewal of the wood construction industry.
The goal is to design work spaces of the future taking into account the well-being, health and performance of employees.
A panel made up of professionals from the UMB-FFB (Union des Métiers du Bois, woodworkers' union), CAPEB (Confédération de l’Artisanat et des Petite Entreprises du Bâtiment, confederation of artisans and small building businesses), and le French Design by VIA has selected the most ambitious projects in terms of aesthetics, technicality and innovation. Three of these will be named winners of the 2018 New Living Wood Prize.
All the projects will be presented on December 11 when the three winners will also be revealed.
