Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance often compares his approach to tsubo niwa, the little gardens at the heart of traditional Japanese homes. They represent an organic life force within a discipline which is devoted above all else to meeting the demands of industry, a market or a customer. Noé is as drawn to designing inspired objects for retailers (such as Bernhardt Design, Hermès Maison, Cinna, Ligne Roset, La Chance and Petite Friture) as he is to composing harmonies in living spaces (for Senderens, Air France Lounges and so on) and defining a product or window display’s image for major brands including Paco Rabanne and YSL Beauty.
His approach to his art has won him many prizes, including the NeoCon Silver 2016 for his Modern Family collection created for Bernhardt Design, the VIA Label 2015 and the Prix Janus du Commerce 2014 for his Air France lounges.
He is a graduate of ENSAAMA and Arts Décoratifs.
