Philippe Nigro is a designer and scenographer who trained at La Martinière (Lyon) and the École Boulle.
His work is characterised by the connection between experimental research and a pragmatic analysis of the skills of the manufacturers with whom he works.
A freelance artist since 1999, he began alongside Michele De Lucchi and continues to develop his business between France and Italy.
Philippe Nigro is regularly awarded grants from the VIA and has worked with Ligne Roset, Cinna, De Castelli, Piba Marmi, Skitsch, Serralunga, Artuce, Caimi Brevetti, Venini, Foscarini, DePadova, Baccarat, Moleskine, Driade, Saint Luc, CELC, le Mobilier National and Hermès.
Some of his works now form part of the collections of the Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.
In 2014, he was named Designer of the Year by Maison&Objet.
