The Ben Hur chair belongs to the collection designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for Roche Bobois in 2010. A collection born of the desire to go back to this piece of furniture’s roots and give it back its mobility. All the creations are therefore mobile in essence, not least this chair equipped with wheels, and with curved velvet protective coverings. Inspired by chariots, Ben Hur evokes, with a sense of humour and mischief, the famous cinema races from this legendary epic. Ben Hur was originally designed for the VIA project assistance programme in 1992.
