Pierre Favresse studied arts at the École Boulle, then pursued a career in design at the ENSAD.Expanding on his collaboration with French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, he opened his own studio in 2010 at the Ateliers de la ville in Paris and has worked with Petite Friture, Cinna, Super-ette, La Chance and others.
It is Lehanneur’s belief that design enriches our lives and our day-to-day doings through a contemporary approach to our environments. Fed by the social and environmental challenges of our time, he develops designs based on a search for balance between need and intelligence of forms and things. This approach is at the heart of his creative process, which aims to arouse affection, even love, for the object.
Today, Pierre Favresse is head of design at Habitat and works to reintroduce the pillars for which the brand and its founder Sir Terence Conran are renowned.
