Born in 1973 in Marseille, Stéphanie Marin lives and works in Nice.
In 1990, she began in textile recycling between Amsterdam, Hamburg and Barcelona.
Five years later, she developed her ready-to-wear line “Habits Magiques” (Magic Clothes), versatile structures made of natural materials and artisan dyes sold in fashion boutiques throughout the world.
In 2003, she expanded her research into design and habitat and designed the Living Stones pebble cushion. Her studio smarin was opened and hasn’t stopped creating and developing design projects since.
Sensitive to the immaterial dimension of design and the emotions it can provoke, Stéphanie Marin works on the relationship of design with the body, space and light.
She joined Céleste Boursier-Mougenot for the Acquaalta exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo and the project Révolutions, presented at the Pavillon Français for the 56th Venice Biennale.
