MOTIFS ALL OVER is an opportunity for le French Design by VIA to invite creators and leading figures from the catering professions to join a discussion on culinary motifs at a round-table talk and performance/tasting.
Straddling design objects and graphics, gastronomy and the culinary arts, the motif is entering new domains and feeding into a reflection on edible matter and its production, the act of eating, and cuisine as a lifestyle practice.
Discussions will focus on use of the motif in culinary design. From application of the decorative motif to the structural motif, this has become an important tool for experimentation and expression.
The round-table talk and performance/tasting will be presented and coordinated by Germain Bourré, culinary designer in charge of the Design & Culinary Master’s programme at ESAD in Reims.
The general public, food lovers and enthusiastic epicureans are invited to attend the event on November 22 at le French Design by VIA Gallery.
