Temahome is a French online flat-pack furniture maker that stands out for the purity of its design, the breadth and accessibility of its range and its uniquely sincere style.
We want you to have all the information you need so that you feel confident choosing furniture from our range. This is why we help you get to know each item, with information about everything from where it’s made to its designers’ intentions, its uses and the quality of its materials.
Because we export to more than 40 countries, we’re able to explore and draw inspiration from lots of different cultures. Our cosmopolitan teams reflect this diversity, and their contributions stimulate our creative juices.
We love nothing more than exploring new concepts and ways of doing things. It’s often by making links between disparate experiences that we create special and unique innovations.
“The challenge we’ve set ourselves is to reinvent skills by giving them an innovative edge within our contemporary economic environment,” La Racine
As a student, studio founder and EM Lyon graduate Tiphaine Chouillet specialised in luxury brand marketing. She joined Christian Dior Couture before moving onto Emile Henry, a French family business that produces ceramic cookware. During her time there, she opened up the Italian market for the company. She returned to France to become its marketing director and led a five-year campaign to completely refresh the brand. She’s passionate about getting French excellence the renown it deserves, so she works hard to reinvent brands by investing their innovations with a certain emotional value.
Designer Tania Clemente joined La Racine after graduating from ESAD de Reims. Her ambition is to bring useful designs to life so that become a meaningful part of our daily reality. At Studio Colonel, she gives free rein to her fascination for handicrafts and waste-free manufacturing, while honouring French artisans’ expertise. She’s passionate about pursuing makers’ technical and human potential through design thinking, her aim being to reinvent their organisations and to visualise their values and the future paths open to them. Her comprehensive approach to design tells, first and foremost, each business’ story.
Studio La Racine designed ICONIC so that it would express all Temahome’s unique characteristics. This collection is an enthusiastic response to urban lifestyles and small living spaces in which furniture needs to do a lot of different things, from providing hidden storage to dividing spaces and creating quick settings for welcoming guests. The bookcase can be mounted against a wall, or it can divide a room in two, with niches that run its whole depth and doors at either side that can be fixed tight. The wardrobe has a vertical mirror and space for storing and hanging clothes. It integrates easily into bedrooms and entrance halls. The two tables fold out to offer a wide surface for off-the-cuff drinks with friends! They also provide lots of storage that residents of small apartments will hugely appreciate..
